My car needs washing, but if I did it it’d be greenish-yellowish-black by tomorrow.

I’ve found a few Celicas of that vintage in the yard in the past few months, but I bet those Louvers are beyond hard to find.

Pollen’s in full swing here. I’ve just been cleaning the glass every few days. Speaking of which, it’s time to do it again tonight.

Will do, if I notice one when I am in a yard, I’ll shoot you a pic on the telephone machine.

I’m sure that you can find some eventually. Probably someone that parts out Celicas sand supras. That’s how I found a set, and a few other items, for the Z. Search Celica or Supra forums/groups.

I gotcha. My pickup looks like it’s growing yellow moss from all the pollen. But I also just line trimmed so it’s covered in grass. Eh.

What a coincidence I also washed my car today! But guess what happened I forgot to wash my drivers side wheel... I realized it after I was set to go out so now I’m riding around on 3 cleans wheels -_-

Yeah, I cut the grass for the first time this year yesterday. Sent pollen everywhere, but I did my best to avoid the cars. It’s supposed to rain tonight into tomorrow, so I’ll have a short break from it.

Find the 15x6 85-86 L-type wheels. The standard 14x7 P-types look great but are a bit wide if you mind that sort of thing.

they all look shiny, now off topic, where the hell is the fuel filter for carb’d 22R in pickup? have new one, can’t find old one.

It’s right on the left of the valve covers. Usually suspended with a sort of steel clamp that resembles a 70s aftermarket cupholder.

It should be white (Coated with dirt and grime) with a in fuel line from the firewall and an out line going right to the carb.

should be able to find that. I’m surprisingly ignorant about my own truck because one seldom NEEDS to fix anything on it.

It’s the only thing I’ve ever replaced under the hood on my ‘89. They’re a bad design from the factory because it goes in a tight V with a filter beneath the fuel path. Aftermarket ones actually have the in and out on opposite ends of the cylinder, going through the filter.

at the age of 29 (in family from new) my red 85 broke down for the first time. It was the spark control box. It was, surprisingly expensive. found at the time original date coded everthing under the hood, Distributor had never been cracked open since the engine was assembled. now I need to replace some wiring just due to age. Before the ignition went out, It had never failed to start, never had any quirks to speak of other than the carb being a little finnicky right around the freezing point in wet weather, but it was always like that. I guess you open an pandora’s box of repairs once you start taking apart something old. -(side note, today I mastered the externally regulated old-timey chevy alternator)

I pretty much do everything not to touch anything. My ‘80 (20R) could use a little TLC under the hood and on the suspension. I just can’t bring myself to spend that kind of dough on something I paid nothing for, especially a vehicle I barely use.
